- Terroir: A vineyard of 11.4 hectares on blue clay soils, the geological signature of Pomerol, conferring on its wines a mineral depth and a rare structure.
- Vinification: A meticulous approach, combining tradition and precision, where ageing in oak barrels elevates the purity of the Merlot without ever compromising its elegance.
Tasting notes for Pétrus 2017
To the eye: A purple-garnet robe of silky density, with deep reflections like a mineral velvet.
On the nose: A generous bouquet where crushed black berries, candied black cherry and wild blueberry intertwine, lifted by notes of violet, roasted cocoa and a saline hint of graphite.
On the palate: A full and velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a spiced and persistent finish, where aromas of liquorice and cinnamon reveal themselves.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to reveal its full complexity.
