The Esprit Libre 2017 from Domaine Thomas Batardière is a dry white wine from Rablay-sur-Layon, made from Chenin Blanc on sand and quartz soils. Vinified in stainless steel tanks without sulfur, it combines mineral freshness with notes of white fruits. Perfect with seafood, to be enjoyed within 3 years.

A family estate rooted in Rablay-sur-Layon, where Chenin Blanc expresses itself authentically on the Anjou hillsides.
- Terroir : Sand, quartz, and clay soils from the Loire plateaus, shaping wines of saline minerality and great purity.
- Vinification : Natural and biodynamic methods (Demeter certification), aging on fine lees without added sulfur to preserve the expression of the terroir.

To the eye – A pale golden robe, of crystalline clarity, where light dances with a silky and vibrant texture.
On the nose – Aromas of crisp green apple, hawthorn blossom, and candied lemon zest, lifted by a saline touch and a chalky minerality evoking quartz soils.
On the palate – A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a smooth texture, where notes of Williams pear mingle and a long finish marked by a persistent salinity.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
