This Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers 2021 from Domaine Ramonet is a Chardonnay born on clay-limestone hillsides. Notes of peach and citrus, saline minerality and a touch of oak. A lively, silky palate. Perfect until 2030 with delicate dishes.

A Burgundian institution across three generations, Domaine Ramonet embodies the demands of a terroir and the fidelity to a style – precise, mineral, uncompromising.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of Chassagne-Montrachet, where chalk rises to the surface beneath the Chardonnay vines, shaping wines of chalky tension and distinctive salinity.
- Winemaking: Aged in oak barrels (including a proportion of new ones) for measured oxygenation, preserving the purity of the fruit and mineral straightforwardness.

Tasting notes for Domaine Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Vergers 2021
To the eye – A pale gold robe with green highlights, of silky clarity, like the gleam of stone polished by time.
On the nose – White peach and Williams pear unfold into notes of candied citrus, while a hint of flint and a saline breeze recall the chalky subsoil of the Les Vergers climat.
On the palate – A silky texture, lively acidity and cutting minerality balance in an elegant tension, carried by a long, saline finish with a hint of toasted vanilla.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a wide, flared Burgundy glass to release the full aromatic complexity.
Vintage 2021
A vintage defined by freshness and precision, where cool nights preserved the acidity and mineral tension of the Chardonnays.
- Ageing potential: 10 to 15 years, to be stored between 12 and 14°C, away from light and vibrations.
