Sourced from the clay-limestone soils of Bâtard-Montrachet, the Ramonet Grand Cru 2021 from Domaine Ramonet is a Chardonnay aged in oak barrels. It reveals aromas of peach and citrus, a saline minerality, and a silky palate. To be enjoyed from 2026 onwards with lobster or truffle-stuffed poultry.
A pillar of white Burgundy, this family estate has embodied for nearly a century the excellence of the great terroirs of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of the Grands Crus of the Côte de Beaune, where Chardonnay expresses a chalky minerality and a unique depth.
- Vinification: Aged in oak barrels, respecting natural cycles and pursuing aromatic purity without artifice.
Tasting notes for Domaine Ramonet Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2021
To the eye – Golden robe with green highlights, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance that heralds a generous, full-bodied wine.
On the nose – Aromas of white peach and candied lemon intertwine with notes of toasted brioche and acacia blossoms, before a saline touch comes to underscore the terroir's minerality.
On the palate – Smooth and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky salinity that stretches into a long, precise finish, where gentle spices and ripe fruit intertwine.
Serve between 12 and 14°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
