The Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2014 from Domaine Ramonet is an exceptional Chardonnay, born on the clay-limestone soils of Puligny-Montrachet. Notes of lemon, pear and wet stone, a taut and mineral palate, with a spiced finish. Ideal with shellfish, to be enjoyed through 2030.
A pillar of the Côte de Beaune, this family estate has cultivated the excellence of great Burgundy whites for nearly a century.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, the cradle of Burgundy's most prestigious Grand Crus, where chalky minerality expresses itself with rare precision.
- Vinification: Aged in oak barrels, respecting natural balance and pursuing pure tension — the timeless signature of the estate.
Tasting notes for Domaine Ramonet Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet 2014
To the eye: A golden robe with green highlights, of silky density and crystalline clarity that already hints at its complexity.
On the nose: Aromas of candied lemon and Williams pear intertwine with notes of flint, acacia honey and a saline touch, like a sea breeze over chalky cliffs.
On the palate: Smooth yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that extends into a long, spiced and subtly toasted finish.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its aromatic palette.
