Sylvain Pataille Marsannay 2023: a Pinot Noir from clay-limestone soils in the Côte de Nuits. Aged without added sulphur, it offers notes of red fruits and flowers, a silky texture and a lively minerality. Perfect with lamb, to be enjoyed from 2025.
A domaine rooted in the lands of Marsannay, where Burgundian tradition engages in dialogue with a natural and precise approach.
- Terroir : The vines thrive on clay-limestone soils of the Marsannay Appellation, in the Côte de Nuits – a chalky terroir that lends the wines their distinctive minerality.
- Winemaking : Crafted without added sulphur, with whole-cluster fermentations and patient ageing in barrels, for wines that are both vibrant and silky.
To the eye: a brilliant ruby robe, of crystalline clarity, revealing a texture that is both dense and airy.
On the nose: aromas of morello cherry and fresh raspberry intertwine with notes of peony and violet, before a saline touch underscores the minerality of the terroir.
On the palate: a silky attack, carried by a taut acidity and an elegant tannic structure, stretching into a chalky and persistent finish.
Serve between 12 and 14 °C, in a Burgundy glass to bring out its precision.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration combine to produce wines that are both approachable and structured.
- Ageing potential : To be kept until 2030 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
