The Marsannay 2019 from Domaine Bart, crafted from Pinot Noir on the limestone soils of Burgundy, captivates with its notes of strawberry and morello cherry. On the palate, it is lively and silky, with a chalky minerality. Perfect for 3 to 5 years of ageing, it pairs wonderfully with duck breast or cheeses.
Rooted for five generations in Marsannay, Domaine Bart cultivates a family heritage where respect for the terroir is paramount.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of the AOC Marsannay, in the Côte de Nuits, shaping wines of chalky minerality and taut elegance.
- Vinification: Aged in oak barrels for a precise expression of Pinot Noir, combining freshness and silky structure.
To the eye: Cherry red robe with garnet reflections, of a limpid and brilliant texture.
On the nose: Aromas of wild strawberry, morello cherry and blackcurrant, lifted by a hint of white pepper and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: Silky attack, lively acidity and velvety tannins, carried by a persistent minerality and an elegant finish of liquorice.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its purity.
A vintage marked by balanced maturity, offering wines that are both indulgent and structured.
- Ageing potential: To be kept 5 to 8 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
