Montrachet Grand Cru, located in Burgundy between Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet (Côte de Beaune), is an exceptional Grand Cru renowned for producing some of the world's most prestigious and expensive white wines from the Chardonnay grape variety. Covering 7.79 hectares, this terroir is divided almost equally between the two communes, with draining limestone soil and a gentle east-facing slope. Its small size and limited production (around 35,000 bottles a year) explain its rarity. Benefiting from a unique microclimate at an altitude of 240-260 meters and optimal sun exposure, Montrachet Grand Cru offers wines of incomparable aromatic complexity, richness and longevity.
