The Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche 2022 Magnum, Grand Cru de Bourgogne, is born on the chalky soils of Puligny and Chassagne. This Chardonnay, aged in barrels, reveals aromas of white flowers, honey and toasted almonds. On the palate, roundness and minerality are balanced by a saline finish. To be enjoyed within 8 to 15 years, it pairs with turbot or Comté.
A family estate founded in 1880, Joseph Drouhin embodies the excellence of great Burgundy wines, combining tradition and precision.
- Terroir: located at the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the Montrachet vineyard rests on reddish-brown soils scattered with limestone pebbles, lending the Chardonnay a chalky minerality and rare elegance.
- Winemaking: ageing in French oak barrels (30% new), respecting the purity of the fruit while adding a subtle woody touch and a silky structure.
To the eye: a golden robe with luminous highlights, of an unctuous texture and mineral brilliance.
On the nose: aromas of lily of the valley and peach blossom, followed by ripe exotic fruits, acacia honey and toasted almonds, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of noble wood.
On the palate: a lively and precise attack, supported by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, before a long and harmonious finish, where freshness and depth intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 15 °C in a Burgundy glass to reveal all its complexity.
A vintage marked by optimal grape ripeness, offering balance and concentration without excess heat.
- Ageing potential: to be cellared until 2042 in a cool (12–14 °C) and humid cellar, away from light.
