A historic pillar of Bordeaux wines, this family estate, rooted in Pessac-Léognan since the 16th century, embodies the excellence of the Graves.
- Terroir : Deep gravel and clay on a gravel terroir, shaping wines of mineral elegance and rare finesse.
- Vinification : Controlled yields, manual harvesting and extended ageing in new oak barrels for a pure expression of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion 1967
To the eye – A garnet red robe with tawny reflections, of a silky density, betraying a maturity patinated by time.
On the nose – First notes of candied morello cherry and wild blackberry, then wafts of aged leather, blond tobacco and a saline touch, like a breath of undergrowth after the rain.
On the palate – A velvety, almost unctuous texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality; the tannins, melted yet persistent, stretch into a long and delicately spiced finish.
Serve at 16°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by autumn rainfall, yet saved by a warm summer and meticulous harvesting, yielding a wine of discreet elegance and great harmony.
- Ageing potential : Still at its peak after more than five decades, to be kept in a cool and humid cellar to preserve its freshness.
