The Joseph Roty Marsannay Cuvée de Boivin 2023, from the limestone soils of Marsannay, expresses Pinot Noir with precision. Aged in barrels, it delivers red fruits, gentle spices and minerality. Taut and silky, it pairs well with meats and cheeses, to be enjoyed now or within 2 to 4 years.
A family estate rooted in the Côte de Nuits, where tradition has been passed down for eleven generations.
- Terroir: 12 hectares spread between Gevrey-Chambertin and Marsannay, on clay-limestone soils that imprint a chalky minerality on the wines.
- Vinification: a precise and respectful approach, combining traditional cuvaison and ageing in barrels for a faithful expression of Pinot Noir.
On the eye: a ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: aromas of morello cherry, fresh raspberry, followed by notes of violet and a mineral touch reminiscent of damp chalk.
On the palate: a lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and an elegant tannic structure, giving way to a saline and persistent finish.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal all its purity.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, offering wines that are both fresh and structured.
- Ageing potential: to be enjoyed until 2028-2030, kept under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
