Tasting notes for Château Cheval Blanc 1985
To the eye – A deep ruby robe, of a silky density, where the youth of a fine wine can still be sensed.
On the nose – An enchanting bouquet of fresh violet, ripe blackcurrant, black truffle and blond tobacco, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of soft spices.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and harmonious finish where dark fruits and roasted notes intertwine.
Serve at 16°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
