Tasting notes for Château Canon Canon 1983
In the eye: Garnet robe with brick-red highlights, of velvety density and a brilliance subtly softened by time.
On the nose: Aromas of dried violets, blond tobacco and brandied cherries, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of wild thyme on a backdrop of weathered cedar.
On the palate: Silky and taut texture, where candied prunes, black truffle and a chalky minerality intertwine, carried by a lively acidity and a long finish with accents of lightly saline red fruits.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its tertiary nuances.

A classic vintage from the Right Bank, marked by harmonious maturity and a refined tannic structure.
- Aging potential: Drink now through 2034; store in a cool cellar (12–14°C), away from vibrations.
