Les Hauts de Smith 2000, the second wine of Château Smith Haut Lafitte, is born from the gravelly soils of Pessac-Léognan. This red wine, aged in barrels, marries blackcurrant and spices with a silky and mineral palate. To be enjoyed until 2028, it pairs beautifully with red meats and slow-cooked dishes.
Château Smith Haut Lafitte
A family estate rooted in the Graves, where chalky terroir and traditional expertise shape wines of rare elegance.

Tasting notes for Château Smith Haut Lafitte Les Hauts de Smith 2000
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with tiled reflections, silky texture and promising density.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry, toasted cedar and blonde tobacco, lifted by a hint of graphite and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: A velvety attack, supported by a lively acidity and stony minerality, leading to a long and elegant finish marked by notes of liquorice and gentle spices.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
