The Joseph Roty La Croix Violette 2022, from the clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, is a barrel-aged Pinot Noir. Nose of plum, raspberry and violet, a rich and silky palate, fine tannins and a mineral finish. To enjoy until 2032 with roast duck or aged cheeses.
Nestled at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, this family estate has perpetuated a winemaking heritage for six generations, combining tradition and precision.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone and marl soils, typical of the Côtes de Nuits, lend the wines a chalky minerality and a structured elegance.
- Vinification : Ageing in oak barrels, with a respectful approach to the fruit, for wines that are both fleshy and of great purity.
- In the eye : A deep ruby robe, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a generous character.
- On the nose : Aromas of fresh raspberry, ripe plum and violet intertwine, lifted by a wild touch of undergrowth and a saline edge.
- On the palate : The palate is ample and fleshy, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with fine tannins and a long finish that is both taut and sappy.
Serve between 16 and 18°C, in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
A vintage marked by generous ripeness and a fine concentration, without excess heat, preserving freshness and balance.
- Ageing potential : To be kept for up to 10 years in a cool, humid cellar, away from light.
