Joseph Roty Côte de Nuits-Villages La Croix Violette 2023 from Domaine Joseph Roty, born on the clay-limestone slopes of Brochon. This Pinot Noir (70 years old) offers raspberry and minerality, with a taut and silky palate. Perfect with duck breast or roast lamb, to enjoy until 2030.
Family estate rooted in Brochon, Domaine Joseph Roty perpetuates a winemaking heritage where respect for the terroir is paramount.
- Terroir: Two 70-year-old plots, one on deep clay soil, the other on limestone rock, at the heart of the Côte de Nuits.
- Vinification: Precise ageing to reveal the purity of the Pinot Noir, between fruity tension and mineral structure.
In the eye: Garnet robe with dense, silky and luminous reflections.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh raspberry and black cherry, lifted by a touch of liquorice and a chalky mineral edge.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, elegant tannins with fruity accents, a long and saline finish, carried by a mineral tension.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration blend harmoniously.
- Ageing potential: To be kept until 2032 under optimal conditions (cool, humid cellar).
