Krug 2008, Champagne Brut from a cool vintage, marries Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Tasting notes for the Krug 2008 wine
To the eye: A golden robe of crystalline brilliance, shot through with green highlights, while the fine and persistent bubbles trace a silky bead at the surface.
On the nose: First notes of candied citrus – cedrat and pink grapefruit –, followed by a touch of toasted brioche, acacia honey and a subtle saline hint, like a sea breeze over warm stones.
On the palate: A texture that is at once unctuous and taut, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and elegant finish where dried fruits and soft spices intertwine.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a wide-rimmed champagne flute to fully release its aromas.

A cool and balanced year, where the ripeness of the grapes was combined with preserved acidity, giving this champagne an ideal structure for aging.
- Aging potential: 20 years and more, to be cellared in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
