Cuvée Boréal R21 from Champagne Clandestin: a brut nature blanc de noirs from the calcareous soils of Buxières-sur-Arce. This 2021 Pinot Noir, naturally fermented and aged in barrels, offers notes of peach, citrus and flint. Fine and mineral, its palate seduces with its freshness. Perfect as an aperitif through 2035.
A bold project born from the alliance between Benoît Doussot and Maison Vouette et Sorbée, rooted in the Côte des Bar, where the terroir dictates every gesture.
- Terroir : Confidential vineyards of Buxières-sur-Arce, calcareous soils with a Kimmeridgian subsoil, north-facing for preserved freshness.
- Vinification : Ageing in barrels, indigenous yeasts and malolactic fermentation for living Champagnes, without artifice.
Tasting notes for Champagne Clandestin Cuvée Boréal R21 wine
In the glass – Pale golden robe with green highlights, of crystalline clarity, traversed by a fine and persistent effervescence.
On the nose – Aromas of white peach and honeysuckle intertwine with notes of flint, then open onto a saline touch and a hint of candied citrus.
On the palate – Silky texture and creamy bubbles, driven by a lively acidity and chalky minerality, leaving a long and delicately spiced finish.
Serve at 10°C in a slender flute to preserve its tension and brilliance.
Vintage 2021
A vintage marked by rare freshness, where the balance between ripeness and acidity gives rise to a Champagne of remarkable precision.
- Ageing potential : To be enjoyed now, with a peak between 2025 and 2033, and optimal cellaring until 2035+ in a cool cellar away from light.
