The Château Lafite Rothschild 2012, sourced from the gravelly soils of Pauillac, combines Cabernet Sauvignon (91%) and elegance. Notes of dark fruits, spices and vanilla after 20 months in barrels. Silky, mineral palate, ideal with red meats. To be enjoyed until 2035.
Nestled in the heart of Pauillac, this legendary estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence since the 17th century, combining family tradition with mastery of an exceptional terroir.
- Terroir : Deep gravels and a limestone subsoil of the Médoc, shaping wines of mineral elegance and a refined structure.
- Vinification : A plot-by-plot approach and patient aging in French oak barrels, for cuvées of rare precision and complexity.
Tasting notes for Château Lafite Rothschild 2012
To the eye – A deep crimson robe of silky density, where the characteristic tension of great Pauillacs is already discernible.
On the nose – A bouquet where ripe red fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) mingle with nuances of cedar and blonde tobacco, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite, the signature of gravelly soils.
On the palate – A precise attack, carried by a lively acidity and tannins of chalky texture, before a long, mineral finish where notes of gentle spices and liquorice unfold.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by climatic challenges, where the rigour of the sorting and the quality of the terroir allowed the full nobility of Lafite to be expressed.
- Aging potential : To be stored until 2035–2040 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
