The Château Latour 2000, born on the gravels of Pauillac, embodies Bordeaux elegance. Assembled from Cabernet Sauvignon (77%) and Merlot, it reveals aromas of blackcurrant and spices. Its firm and silky palate seduces with its freshness. Ideal until 2040 alongside beef or aged cheeses.
Château Latour
A pillar of the Premiers Grands Crus Classés, this mythical estate has embodied the excellence of Pauillac for centuries.
- Terroir: Deep gravels and clays over a limestone bedrock, the heart of the Pauillac appellation, where Cabernet Sauvignon reveals its nobility.
- Vinification: Meticulous ageing in oak barrels, rigorous selection of plots, yielding wines of rare precision and longevity.
Tasting notes for Château Latour 2000
To the eye – A deep garnet robe with tiled highlights, dense and silky, revealing accomplished maturity.
On the nose – Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, cedar and blonde tobacco, lifted by a hint of graphite and a subtle touch of liquorice, before opening up onto a chalky minerality.
On the palate – A broad and velvety attack, supported by a lively acidity and a still-present tannic structure, leading to a saline and persistent finish where soft spices and dark fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2000
A sun-drenched vintage, marked by optimal ripeness of the grapes, combining power and elegance.
- Ageing potential: Ready to drink until 2040, to be stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
