Tasting notes for Château Latour 2000
To the eye – A deep garnet robe with tiled highlights, dense and silky, revealing accomplished maturity.
On the nose – Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, cedar and blonde tobacco, lifted by a hint of graphite and a subtle touch of liquorice, before opening up onto a chalky minerality.
On the palate – A broad and velvety attack, supported by a lively acidity and a still-present tannic structure, leading to a saline and persistent finish where soft spices and dark fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
