Nestled in the heart of Pauillac, this legendary estate embodies Bordeaux excellence for centuries, combining family tradition and innovation.
- Terroir : Gravels, sands and clays on a marl-limestone subsoil, conferring on the wines a distinctive minerality and an elegant structure.
- Vinification : A meticulous blend of noble grape varieties, aged with patience to reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Château Mouton Rothschild Mouton Rothschild 1997
On the eye – A tawny red robe with orange reflections, of a silky density, betraying a harmonious evolution.
On the nose – First fresh notes of blackcurrant and hyacinth, then deeper aromas of leather, blonde tobacco and cedar wood, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of roasted coffee.
On the palate – A fleshy and velvety texture, carried by fine tannins and a lively acidity, giving way to a long and spiced finish, where chalky minerality and smoky nuances intermingle.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.
