Tasting notes for the wine Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2010
To the eye — Pale golden robe with green highlights, of a crystalline clarity, while the fine and persistent bubbles draw a silky thread at the surface.
On the nose — Aromas of golden plum and tangy mango intertwine with notes of candied lemon and mimosa, before giving way to hints of buttery pastries, sweet almonds and white chocolate, heightened by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate — The attack is generous and enveloping, then the mineral tension of the great Chardonnays from Avize takes over, offering a chalky freshness and a long finish, where nuances of toasted hazelnuts and a delicate salinity intermingle.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a champagne flute or a white Burgundy wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2010
A vintage marked by optimal ripeness of the Chardonnays, combining fruity concentration and vibrant minerality, for a cuvée of great elegance.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed until 2030, to be kept in a cool cave (12–14°C) and away from light.
