Cristal Roederer 2005 Magnum OC
From the chalky terroirs of Champagne, the Cristal 2005 Magnum combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir for a palette of white fruits, buttery notes and toasted hints. This brut, partially aged in oak, seduces with its broad and saline palate. Perfect until 2030 with lobster or cream-based dishes.

A family house founded in 1776, Louis Roederer has embodied Champagne excellence from Reims, where it rigorously cultivates its own vineyards.
- Terroir: 240 hectares owned, spread across the Grands Crus of the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne – chalky and limestone soils that give the wines their characteristic minerality.
- Winemaking: Respect for natural balances, partial fermentation in oak barrels and the systematic absence of malolactic fermentation to preserve the freshness and tension of the cuvées.

Tasting notes for Louis Roederer Cristal 2005 Magnum
In the glass – A golden robe, brilliant and dense, with amber highlights, revealing a silky texture and a fine, persistent effervescence.
On the nose – A generous bouquet where ripe yellow fruits (peach, apricot), candied citrus, white flowers and a touch of toasted hazelnut mingle, carried by a saline minerality and a hint of vanilla.
On the palate – The attack is broad and rounded, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky tension; the material, rich and velvety, stretches into a long, saline finish where notes of toast and dried fruits emerge.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a tall flute or a wide-rimmed Champagne glass to fully release its aromas.
Vintage 2005
A vintage marked by generous ripeness and fine freshness, where the summer heat allowed the grapes to achieve a rare concentration without sacrificing balance.
- Ageing potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
