Mas Jullien Côteaux du Languedoc Etats d'Ame 2024
An estate rooted in Jonquières, Languedoc, where Olivier Jullien has pursued an exacting vision of terroir and viticulture since 1985.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and gravel in Languedoc, where cool nights temper the Mediterranean sunshine, shaping wines of great purity.
- Winemaking: A precise, respectful approach, with native-yeast fermentation and aging in 600-liter barrels and large oak casks to preserve freshness and elegance.
Tasting notes for Mas Jullien Les Nouveaux États d’Âme 2024
- Appearance: A vivid red hue with bright highlights and a silky texture, promising a wine that is both energetic and refined.
- Nose: A fresh, precise bouquet of sour cherry, crisp blackcurrant and juicy raspberry, lifted by notes of garrigue and violet and a saline touch of flint.
- Palate: A lively, fruit-driven opening, supported by fine, silky tannins, bright acidity and chalky minerality, leads to a long, lightly smoky finish with a hint of licorice.
Serve at 16–17°C in a medium-sized red wine glass to bring out its aromas.
2024 vintage
A vintage marked by crisp fruit and preserved freshness, with a finely judged balance between ripeness and mineral tension.
- Aging potential: Enjoy now through 2031; store under suitable conditions away from light.
