The Mugneret-Gibourg Echezeaux 2018, Grand Cru from Burgundy, comes from the Les Rouges du Bas parcels. This Pinot Noir, aged 18 months in barrels, reveals aromas of dark fruits and spices. Its palate, silky and mineral, pairs beautifully with game and aged cheeses. To be enjoyed from 2025.
Nestled at the heart of Vosne-Romanée, this family estate has embodied Burgundian excellence for three generations, combining tradition and precision.
- Terroir : Two parcels of Echezeaux Grand Cru – Les Rouges du Bas and Les Quartiers de Nuits – on deep soils of gravel and silt, shaping wines of chalky minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification : Manual harvesting, complete destemming and aging in oak barrels for cuvées of remarkable purity and tension.
Tasting notes for Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Echezeaux Grand Cru 2018
- To the eye : A deep garnet-red robe, of a silky texture and vivid brilliance, revealing at first glance the concentration of the vintage.
- On the nose : A bouquet where aromas of fresh black cherry, delicate violet, subtle licorice and damp forest floor intertwine, punctuated by a saline touch evoking the chalky soils of the terroir.
- On the palate : A velvety attack, carried by a precise acidity and a taut minerality, stretching into a long and saline finish where notes of ripe fruit and soft spices unfold.
To be served between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
