The Nuits-Saint-Georges 2014 from Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg is born on the clay-limestone soils of Combe du Bas. This Pinot Noir offers aromas of cherry and liquorice, a silky palate and a lively minerality. Perfect with sauced meats or morels, it can be enjoyed young or cellared.
Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg
A family estate rooted in the Côte de Nuits, where Burgundian excellence and tradition have been passed down through generations.
- Terroir: Exceptional plots in Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée, on clay-limestone soils, shaping wines of mineral precision and rare elegance.
- Vinification: A fruit-forward approach, combining delicate maceration and barrel aging to reveal the purity of Pinot Noir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Nuits-Saint-Georges 2014
In the glass: A deep garnet red robe, with a silky density, where light dances with a chalky intensity.
On the nose: First, aromas of fresh black cherry and violet, followed by hints of liquorice and undergrowth, all lifted by a subtle mineral salinity.
On the palate: A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a taut minerality, stretching into a long and precise finish, where gentle spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to fully express its complexity.
Vintage 2014
A well-balanced vintage, where freshness and ripeness come together to offer a wine that is both approachable and endowed with a beautiful structure.
- Aging potential: 10 to 15 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
