The Echezeaux Grand Cru 2017 from Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg, made from Pinot Noir grown on the gravelly soils of Vosne-Romanée, reveals aromas of berries, orange peel and cocoa. Aged in oak barrels (75% new), it combines freshness, silky tannins and chalky minerality. Enjoyable through 2050, it pairs with game and poultry.

Tasting notes for Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Echezeaux Grand Cru 2017
Appearance – A deep ruby color with garnet highlights, a silky texture and crystalline brilliance that already hint at its density.
On the nose – A bouquet of lightly smoked black cherries, wild berries, a touch of candied orange peel and a hint of bitter cocoa, lifted by subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate – A velvety entry, with lively acidity and mineral tension carrying the wine through to a long, lingering finish, where powdery tannins harmonize with a delicately integrated touch of oak.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full aromatic complexity.

A vintage marked by early ripening and a balance between freshness and concentration, ideal for those who enjoy wines that are both full-bodied and precise.
