The Echezeaux Grand Cru 2017 from Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg, made from Pinot Noir on the gravelly soils of Vosne-Romanée, reveals aromas of berries, candied orange peel and cocoa. Aged in oak barrels (75% new), it combines freshness, silky tannins and chalky minerality. Perfect until 2050, it pairs with game and poultry.
A family estate rooted in the prestigious terroir of Vosne-Romanée, where exacting standards and finesse have guided every cuvée since 1933.
- Terroir : The gravelly and silty soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of the Grands Crus, impart a distinctive minerality and natural elegance to the wines.
- Winemaking : A respectful approach, combining tradition and precision – hand harvesting, aging in oak barrels and minimal intervention to preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Echezeaux Grand Cru 2017
To the eye – A deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky texture and crystalline brilliance that already hints at its density.
On the nose – A bouquet blending lightly smoked black cherries, wild berries, a hint of candied orange peel and a touch of bitter cocoa, all lifted by a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate – A velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a mineral tension that guides the wine toward a long, persistent finish, where powdery tannins harmonize with a delicately integrated touch of oak.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full aromatic complexity.

- Aging Potential : To be cellared until 2050 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and away from light).
