The Petit Roy Hautes Côtes de Beaune 2020, a Pinot Noir from Domaine Petit-Roy, is born on the limestone soils of Burgundy. Aged in barrels, it captivates with its notes of wild strawberry, its minerality and its freshness. Taut and silky, it can be kept until 2030 and pairs wonderfully with meats and aged cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of Chorey-les-Beaune, this family estate patiently cultivates a Burgundian heritage in which respect for the terroir is paramount.
- Terroir: 2.1 hectares at altitude in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, where chalky and limestone soils sculpt wines of vibrant minerality.
- Vinification: fermentation with whole clusters, aged in used barrels to preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir, without artifice.
In appearance: a ruby robe with garnet highlights, silky and luminous in texture.
On the nose: aromas of wild strawberry intertwine with notes of crushed thyme, black cherry and a saline touch, like a breath of wind over the hillsides.
On the palate: a lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, before a long and elegant finish.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full finesse.
A generous vintage, where the ripeness of the grapes is balanced by a freshness preserved by the altitude of the vines.
- Ageing potential: 10 years and more, to be stored in a cool cellar (12-14°C) away from light.
