The Guigal Ermitage Ex Voto 2006, from the granitic terroirs of Hermitage, is a Syrah aged 42 months in barrels. Its nose reveals dark fruits, ink and flowers; its palate marries silky tannins and minerality. Perfect for aging 30 years, it pairs beautifully with red meats and aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted in Ampuis since 1946, E. Guigal embodies the excellence of Rhône Valley wines, where each cuvée reflects an exceptional terroir and a rigorous winemaking tradition.
- Terroir : The granitic and schistose hillsides of the Hermitage appellation, bathed in a continental climate, bestow upon its Syrahs a distinctive minerality and a unique aromatic depth.
- Vinification : Extended aging in new oak barrels, respect for individual plots and meticulous blending for wines that are both powerful and of rare elegance.

- To the eye : A deep, almost opaque purple robe with garnet hues, revealing a silky density and a generous substance.

- On the palate : A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a mineral tension, where the fine and well-integrated tannins stretch into a long and persistent finish, marked by nuances of cocoa and sweet spices.
