The Château Lafite Rothschild 1997, from the gravel soils of Pauillac, is a Premier Grand Cru Classé. Blended with 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot, aged in new barrels, it offers aromas of cedar and dark fruits. Its silky, mineral texture is sublime alongside game or a rib-eye steak.

Tasting notes for Château Lafite Rothschild 1997
To the eye: A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, dense and luminous, revealing a velvety texture from the very first glance.
On the nose: A bouquet of great complexity – wild blackberry, fresh cedar, faded violet and a saline graphite note, evolving towards hints of blonde tobacco and liquorice.
On the palate: A silky entry, carried by a lively acidity and chalky minerality, leading to a long, taut finish where candied dark fruits and soft spices intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromatic palette.
