Tasting notes for Château Lafite Rothschild 1994
To the eye – A ruby robe with purple reflections, dense and luminous, where the substance reveals itself beneath a silky and vibrant texture.
On the nose – First, aromas of fresh blackcurrant and violet, then deeper notes of blonde tobacco, graphite, and a saline touch that evokes the gravelly soils of the terroir.
On the palate – A precise attack, carried by velvety tannins and a lively acidity, while a chalky minerality guides a long, fresh finish where hints of dark chocolate and wild berries linger.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
