To the eye – A garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density, betraying both the maturity and the preserved freshness of this great vintage.
On the nose – First aromas of ripe blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by nuances of cedar, blonde tobacco and a mineral touch reminiscent of graphite, all wrapped in a subtle evocation of undergrowth.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long, saline finish where gentle spices and candied dark fruits intertwine.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
