The TOP winemakers of Burgundy

The Clos de la Roche stands out in 2014, with a wine of great style, exceptional sensuality and a pronounced, refined minerality. A great red Burgundy wine very highly rated 19/20 by the Bettane & Desseauve guide. Also in 2014, the Chapelle Chambertin distinguishes itself with an expression of dark fruit, a dense and serious, elegant structure, in which the terroir's imprint expresses itself powerfully, rated 18/20 by the Revue des Vins de France. Among the 1er Crus, the Chambolle 1er cru les Charmes 2013 is fairly dense and robust for a Chambolle Musigny, with a spiced nose and a dense body, while the Morey St Denis 1er cru les Alouettes will be particularly appreciated in 2014. Among the vintages, the most acclaimed are 2015, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2002.

On the white Burgundy wines side, Domaine Ponsot owns two Burgundy Grand Crus. The Corton Charlemagne, and the Montrachet which in 2011 shows an expressive nose, with stone fruits, very elegant. On the palate a remarkable wine, with honeyed notes on the attack, very concentrated, with beautiful power, and a very fine acidity that balances the wine. A very long finish, a superb wine with great potential.
