The Ramonet Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2022 is a Chardonnay born on the clay-limestone soils of Bâtard-Montrachet. Aged in barrels, it offers notes of yellow fruits, flowers and a saline minerality. Its rich and taut palate promises a cellaring potential of 10-15 years. Ideal with poultry or lobster.
A Burgundian institution since 1920, Domaine Ramonet embodies the excellence of the great whites of the Côte de Beaune, shaped by an uncompromising family expertise.
- Terroir: The clay-limestone soils of Bâtard-Montrachet, with a full easterly exposure, impart a chalky minerality and unique depth to the Chardonnays.
- Vinification: Aged in oak barrels (20-30% new) for a precise expression of the fruit, without artifice, where tension takes precedence over opulence.
Tasting notes for Domaine Ramonet Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2022
On the eye: Pale gold robe with green highlights, of crystalline clarity, revealing a silky texture at first glance.
On the nose: Aromas of white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) intertwine with notes of candied lemon and roasted hazelnut, underlined by a saline touch reminiscent of sea spray.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, where the taut acidity carries a rich yet elegant body, marked by hints of flint and a long, mineral, persistent finish.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
