Thomas Morey Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Vide Bourse 2023, born on chalky soils near the Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet. This barrel-aged Chardonnay reveals notes of white fruits and a saline minerality. Taut, silky palate with a long finish. Ideal for 5–10 years, with fish or aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted at the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, where respect for the terroir has guided every gesture for generations.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, where the Premiers Crus express a chalky minerality and a taut elegance.
- Vinification: Gentle pressing, barrel ageing to preserve the purity of the Chardonnay, without artifice.
In the glass: Pale golden robe with green highlights, silky clarity and mineral brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh lime, ripe Williams pear, acacia blossom and a saline hint reminiscent of flint stones, all carried by a precise aromatic tension.
On the palate: A lively, taut attack, an unctuous yet never heavy texture, supported by a chalky acidity and a saline minerality that extends into a long, elegant finish.
Serve between 12 and 14 °C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its complexity.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration blend harmoniously.
- Ageing potential: Best kept for 8 to 12 years in a cool cellar (12–14 °C) and away from light, to allow its minerality to fully develop.
