Château Cheval Blanc Nestled in the heart of Saint-Émilion, this legendary estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence for generations, combining tradition and innovation. - Terroir: Clay-gravelly and sandy soils, typical of the Graves, shape wines of rare minerality and elegance. - Winemaking: A bold blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, aged with patience to reveal the full complexity of the terroir. Tasting notes for Château Cheval Blanc 1985 To the eye – A deep garnet red robe, with tawny reflections, of silky texture and chalky density. On the nose – First fresh notes of plum and blackcurrant, then deeper aromas of mocha, cedar and undergrowth, lifted by a menthol touch and a hint of salinity. On the palate – A full and velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and taut minerality, before a long and harmonious finish, where chocolate and gentle spices intertwine. Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to enhance its purity and complexity. Vintage 1985 A sunny and balanced vintage, where the maturity of the grapes allowed the full richness of the Saint-Émilion terroir to be expressed. - Ageing potential: To be cellared for a further 10 to 15 years under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
