A family estate rooted in the hillsides of Gevrey-Chambertin, where Pinot Noir expresses itself with rare precision.
- Terroir: gently sloping clay-limestone soils, shaping wines of chalky minerality and taut elegance.
- Vinification: gentle methods – spontaneous fermentation, aging in neutral barrels – to preserve the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux Vieilles Vignes 2016
To the eye: a deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: aromas of fresh black cherry, wild violet, soft licorice, and damp undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate: a precise and velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and saline finish where soft spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration marry in perfect harmony.
- Aging potential: 15 to 20 years in a cool and humid cellar, away from temperature variations.
