The Ramonet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Canet 2017, born on the limestone soils of Puligny-Montrachet, is a Chardonnay aged in barrels. Notes of citrus and flint, a lively and mineral palate, saline finish. Perfect with scallops or Bresse chicken, it can be cellared until 2030.
Nestled in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, this family estate has embodied the excellence of great white Burgundy wines since the 1920s, shaped with a rigor inherited from four generations.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, where Premier Crus such as Champs Canet reveal a chalky minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification: Carefully controlled aging in oak barrels to preserve the purity of the Chardonnay, combining tension and complexity without artifice.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Ramonet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Canet 2017
To the eye: A golden robe with green reflections, of a silky clarity heralding an unctuous and precise texture.
On the nose: Aromas of candied lemon, acacia blossom, and white peach intertwine, carried by a saline touch and a chalky minerality characteristic of the terroir.
On the palate: A lively and taut attack, where the chiseled acidity melds with a rich and velvety texture, giving way to a long and saline finish marked by mineral elegance.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
