Tasting notes for Vieux Château Certan 2013
To the eye: A deep red robe with garnet reflections, of a velvety and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry, ripe plum and violet, lifted by a mineral hint of graphite and a subtle spicy note of cedar.
On the palate: A silky attack, carried by a lively acidity and an elegant tannic structure, giving way to a long, saline finish where red fruits and chalky nuances intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to reveal its full complexity.
