- Vinification: a meticulous approach, combining tradition and innovation, to reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the emblematic grape varieties – Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
Tasting notes for Château Ausone 1992
To the eye: a garnet red robe with tiled reflections, of a silky density, betraying a harmonious maturity and a velvety structure.
On the nose: aromas of wild blackberry, faded violet and cedar unfold, followed by a touch of black truffle and a subtle chalky salinity, the hallmark of the greatest limestone terroirs.
On the palate: a smooth yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a persistent minerality, ending on a long and spicy finish where liquorice and blonde tobacco intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its nuances.
