The Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Brulées 1999 from Domaine Bruno Clavelier, sourced from the clay-limestone hillsides of Burgundy, offers aromas of red fruits and spices. This Pinot Noir, balanced and mineral, captivates with its freshness and silky tannins. Perfect with red meats or cheeses.
Domaine Bruno Clavelier
Nestled at the heart of Vosne-Romanée, this family estate embodies the subtle alliance between Burgundian tradition and biodynamic viticulture.
- Terroir: old-vine parcels in the Côte de Nuits, where clay-limestone soils and privileged exposures shape Pinot Noir of rare precision.
- Vinification: artisanal methods, respectful of the fruit and the terroir, yielding cuvées that are both profound and elegant.
Tasting notes for Domaine Bruno Clavelier Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Brûlées 1999
To the eye: a garnet robe with tawny highlights, of silky density, betraying an accomplished yet still vibrant maturity.
On the nose: a bouquet where candied black cherry, faded violet, a touch of damp undergrowth and a mineral hint recalling the chalk of the Burgundian hillsides all intertwine.
On the palate: a velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a saline and persistent finish, where hints of liquorice and truffle can be discerned.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 1999
A vintage marked by generous maturity, where the balance between fruit and tannic structure offers a beautiful harmony.
- Ageing potential: another 5 to 10 years in a cool, humid cellar, away from temperature variations.
