Domaine Coche-Dury presents this Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 1997, a white Burgundy made from Chardonnay, aged in oak. Buttery notes, vibrant minerality and a silky texture on the palate. Ideal until 2008, it pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as poultry or noble fish.
A family estate rooted in Meursault, where exacting standards and respect for the terroir shape wines of rare precision.
- Terroir: The clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, cradle of Burgundy's great white grand crus, impart a chalky minerality and a unique tension to the wines.
- Winemaking: Aged in oak barrels, with minimal intervention to preserve the purity of the Chardonnay and reveal the most faithful expression of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Coche-Dury Corton-Charlemagne 1997
To the eye: A golden robe with green highlights, of silky density, betraying both the maturity and the freshness of the grand cru.
On the nose: Aromas of acacia blossom, candied lemon and toasted hazelnut intertwine, lifted by a saline note and a hint of flint evoking the limestone soils of Corton.
On the palate: A rich yet taut texture, where lively acidity and chalky minerality balance a complex aromatic palette, leading to a long, saline and persistent finish.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a white Burgundy wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
