The Henry Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 1989, an exceptional Pinot Noir born on the limestone soils of Vosne-Romanée, reveals evolved aromas of forest floor, truffle, and spices. Its silky texture and minerality make it a precise and elegant wine, ideal with pheasant or bœuf bourguignon.
Domaine François Lamarche
Heir to a family savoir-faire rooted in the hillsides of Vosne-Romanée, this estate embodies the discreet elegance of the great wines of Burgundy.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, where Pinot Noir develops a chalky minerality and a unique depth.
- Vinification: Traditional approach, respectful of natural balances, for cuvées of silky precision.
Tasting notes for Henry Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 1989
To the eye – A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a velvety density, betraying the years of patient cellaring.
On the nose – First, notes of candied morello cherry and faded rose, then wafts of damp forest floor, black truffle, and a saline touch reminiscent of flint stones.
On the palate – A silky texture, carried by vibrant acidity and chalky minerality, with a long and slightly spiced finish where licorice and light tobacco intermingle.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its complex aromas.
Vintage 1989
A generous vintage, marked by a warm summer and a dry autumn, offering fleshy wines of accomplished ripeness.
- Aging potential: To enjoy now, with a conservation potential through 2025 under optimal conditions (cool and humid cellar).
