Marc Soyard Marsannay 2022, from the limestone hillsides of Marsannay. This Pinot Noir, aged in barrels, reveals notes of blackberry, prune and blackcurrant, with supple tannins. The palate, lively and mineral, combines elegance and tension. Perfect for 5 to 8 years of ageing, it pairs well with meats and aged cheeses.
Rooted at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, this family estate perpetuates a winemaking heritage where respect for the terroir is paramount.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of Marsannay, facing full east, imparting a chalky minerality and an elegant tension to the wines.
- Vinification: Fermentation of whole clusters and aging in barrels for a pure and silky expression of Pinot Noir.
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with violet reflections, of a dense and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry, dried prune and blackcurrant, lifted by a hint of liquorice and a fine chalky salinity.
On the palate: Silky attack, precise tannins and lively acidity, carried by a taut minerality and a long finish with notes of undergrowth.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
A vintage marked by early ripeness and a balance between freshness and concentration, ideal for Marsannay wines.
- Ageing potential: 8 to 10 years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
