The Joseph Roty Marsannay Clos de Jeu 2022, born on the clay-limestone soils of Marsannay, expresses a Pinot Noir with notes of red fruits and peony. Aged in barrels, it offers a fleshy palate, silky tannins and a mineral freshness. Perfect with rich dishes, it can be kept for 5 to 8 years.
Nestled at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, this family estate has perpetuated an artisanal expertise across several generations, rooted in the limestone terroirs of Marsannay.
- Terroir : The clay-limestone and marly soils of the Marsannay appellation, with a full easterly exposure, impart a chalky minerality and a taut elegance to the wines.
- Vinification : Ageing in oak barrels (including a proportion of new wood) for a precise expression of Pinot Noir, between vibrant fruit and a silky structure.
- To the eye : Deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a dense and luminous texture.
- On the nose : Aromas of Morello cherry, fresh raspberry and peony, lifted by a touch of liquorice and a discreet saline minerality.
- On the palate : A juicy and fleshy attack, supported by powdery tannins and a lively acidity, giving way to a long and chalky finish marked by a persistent saltiness.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its aromas.
A generous vintage in fruit, balanced by a mineral freshness characteristic of Marsannay wines.
- Ageing potential : To be kept 5 to 8 years in a cool cellar (12-14°C) and away from light, to allow its harmonious structure to blossom.
