Tasting notes for Thomas Batardière Esprit Libre 2023
To the eye: Golden robe with pale highlights, of a silky clarity and chalky brilliance that heralds its minerality.
On the nose: Aromas of crisp green apple, elderflower, candied lemon zest, followed by a saline touch and a hint of flint that blossom with elegance.
On the palate: Lively and tense texture, carried by precise acidity and a persistent salinity, leaving a long, mineral finish, almost iodine-like.
Serve between 10 and 12 °C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to bring out its purity.

A vintage marked by vibrant freshness, where the balance between ripeness and mineral tension is expressed with rare precision.
- Aging potential: To be enjoyed through 2028, stored away from light and temperature fluctuations, ideally between 12 and 14 °C.
