Thomas Batardière Les Cocus 2023, an old-vine Chenin Blanc (vines planted in 1950) grown on phtanite and schist. Made using biodynamic methods, this Loire Valley white reveals notes of flint, pear and rhubarb. Lively on the palate, with a chalky finish. Perfect with fish or goat cheese, to enjoy now or through 2028.

Appearance: Golden hue with green reflections, silky clarity and a chalky brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh Williams pear, ripe quince and tart rhubarb, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of smoky flint.
On the palate: A vibrant, taut texture driven by lively acidity and stony minerality, with a long, saline finish of mineral elegance.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its complexity.
