Wines from Domaine Chapuis & Chapuis: buy at the best price
The Chapuis brothers, Romain and Jean-Guillaume, originally from Aloxe Corton, decided to launch a négociant business and founded their eponymous estate in 2009 in a small winery located in Pommard, with the aim of crafting generous and approachable wines that allow the two flagship grape varieties of Burgundy — Pinot Noir and Chardonnay — to express their full aromatic potential. As they do not own their own vineyard holdings, and with Burgundy being one of the most expensive wine regions in France, the Chapuis brothers set out to find passionate growers in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, with whom they could establish grape purchasing contracts — grapes that must be of the highest quality and, wherever possible, organically certified. Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis carefully select their sources according to their own well-defined criteria: soil, exposure, vine age, variety, health status… every detail is observed with the utmost attention.
