The Benoît Lahaye Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut, Grand Cru from Bouzy, marries red fruits and white flowers with a chalky minerality. Vinified in barrels, it offers a lively, silky and highly precise palate. To be enjoyed within 5 to 8 years, it enhances cheeses and fish with finesse.
A family estate rooted at the heart of the Grands Crus of Champagne, where Pinot Noir flourishes under the skies of Bouzy.
- Terroir: Chalky and clay-limestone soils of the villages of Bouzy and Ambonnay, the birthplace of a vibrant minerality and a rare depth.
- Winemaking: Biodynamic method, spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels and minimal dosage to reveal the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Benoît Lahaye Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut
On the eye: Golden robe with pale highlights, of a silky texture and crystalline clarity, like a gleam of chalk in the light.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh morello cherry and ripe redcurrant intertwine with notes of hawthorn blossom, before a saline and chalky touch underlines the depth of the Pinot Noir.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality that envelops the palate with a texture that is both rich and elegant, for a long and saline finish.
