Tasting notes for Château Gazin 1982
To the eye – A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, dense and slightly evolved, revealing accomplished maturity and a velvety texture.
On the nose – First, generous aromas of candied black cherry and wild blackberry, followed by deeper notes of fresh truffle, patinated leather and a saline hint of graphite, like an echo of the blue clay terroir.
On the palate – A broad and silky attack, carried by smooth yet present tannins, a lively acidity that brings tension and freshness, and a chalky minerality on the finish, prolonged by nuances of bitter cocoa and gentle spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its complex aromas.
